Gelatin is really supportive for gut health. It improves the quality of your digestive tract’s lining, helps prevent and heal leaky gut and supports the acidity in your stomach.
Gelatin increases hydration in the digestive tract which is important for healthy bowel movements and nutrient absorption.
Here is a delicious way for you and your family to increase the gelatin in your diet.
Ingredients
- Organic Pineapple Juice
- Grass Fed Beef Gelatin
- Glass dish (shallow) or silicone molds
- Stainless saucepan
- Coconut or MCT oil
Instructions
- Coat a glass dish with coconut oil, set aside
- Add 1 cup of juice into a glass or ceramic bowl (wider the better)
- Sprinkle 1/3 cup of gelatin powder on top of the juice
- Allow to sit and incorporate itself into the juice
- Warm up 3 cups of the juice in a saucepan
- When the juice is hot but NOT boiling add in the bloomed gelatin
- Stir with a wire whisk until the clumps are gone
- Once the mixture is smooth pour into a glass dish
- Set in the fridge for 3 hours
- Cut into cubes and eat within one week
